Yvette Durazo, MA, ACC, is the founder of Unitive Consulting, a talent development, performance coaching, strategic conflict management, and mediation firm which specializes in partnering with professionals and their organizations to develop the skills and perspective needed for leadership, human capital engagement and business improvement.
Durazo ’s great success in bridging cross-cultural communication gaps and unifying diverse communities can be attributed to her years of professional experience and her broad education. Durazo ’s two decades of experience as a liaison for businesses and non-profits on both sides of the U.S./Mexico border. She shares her techniques and strategies as an Core Adjunct Professor teaching courses in Alternative Dispute Resolution, Conflict Prevention, Mediation and Communication at National University. She was born in San Diego, CA and raised in Tijuana, Mexico.
Ms. Durazo received a Master’s in Conflict Resolution, Negotiation and Peacebuilding from CSU Dominguez Hills and an undergraduate degree in International Business with an emphasis in Latin American Studies from SDSU. She also received her mediation certification from the San Diego Restorative Justice Center and National Conflict Resolution Center (NCRC) in where she gained invaluable experience working with them as a mediator. She is also an Associate Certified Credential Coach (ACC) through the International Coach Federation with studies in Ontological philosophy. She has studies various energy modalities, such as Reiki, Matrix Energetic and practice transcendental mediation and mindfulness.
She is an active member of the Association of Conflict Resolution (ACR), Mediators Beyond Border International (MBBI), the International Conflict Management Association (IACM) and the San Diego Chapter Association of Trainers and Development (ASTD).
